Citizens Long Distance (CLD) is fully owned by YOU, our member. When you choose CLD to be your long distance carrier, you are doing business with yourself. See if CLD is right for you. Simply look at your long distance bill and add the minutes talked.
Are you using 100 minutes or more each month?
- If the minutes total 100 or more, consider the 12 cent plan
- Multiply the minutes by .12 and add the $3.95 monthly charge to see your total bill
Are you using less than 100 minutes?
- If the minutes total are less than 100, consider the Easy Route
- Multiply the total minutes by .16

LOW-INCOME TELEPHONE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
LINK-UP is a plan that assists qualified low-income Iowans in obtaining basic telephone service by providing:
- Reduced connection charges for basic phone service by 50 percent or $30, whichever is less.
- Deferred payment of connection charges, without interest
LIFELINE is a plan that assist qualified low-income Iowans by providing a monthly reduction on their telephone bil. This reduction varies by service provider and can range up to $10.
